The Sun has brightened the Mother Earth, the Birds have started chirping, the air have sent the fragrance of fresh flying flowers and I have started Thanking GOD for giving me an opportunity to see another beautiful day.
Happy VIJAYDASHMI to all…..
Vijaydashmi is a day of victory-when Lord Rama killed Ravana and a day when Maa Durga killed demon Mahisasura. Buddhists people celebrate this day as Ashok Vijayadashami, as it is believed that Mauryan King Ashoka was converted to buddhism on this day.

To celebrate the occasion every year people burn Ravana effigy, but have you all ever thought about the Ravana inside you? Today we have Smartphones, expensive accessories, luxurious cars, but we don’t have peace of mind, and it is just because of the 10 evils inside us in form of-
- Vasana (Lust)
- Krodha (Anger)
- Moha (Attachment)
- Lobha (Greed)
- Mada (Over Pride)
- Matsara (Jealousy)
- Swartha (Selfishness)
- Anyaaya (Injustice)
- Amanavta (Cruelty)
- Ahankara (Ego)
No matter how much effigy of Ravana people burn every year, but we will never be at peace until we eradicate these evils from us.
As a human being each one of us have a deva and a demon inside us. And it is our choice whom we want inside us. But this Dussehra do something different, kill the Ravana inside you – hold the vision of positivity and trust the process.
My Guruji always says , if you want to live a good life & want to become a good person , never adopt bad qualities in life because death is better than bad qualities i.e ” कुसंगति से मृत्यु अच्छी है।” Character plays important role in one’s life. If health & wealth is lost nothing is lost but if character is lost everything is lost.
Lakshman asked Lord Rama: Brother Ravan was super intelligent, extremely powerful , resourceful, astrologer and won many of stars and Angles (Devtas). He won even Devlok and Yamlok, even then he has been defeated why?
Lord Rama replied: It is not you or me or Hanuman or anyone else, who has killed Ravan. It is his Ego and his evils (Stated above) of his personality that have killed Ravan.
A true celebration of Dusshera or Vijay Dashmi will be once when we kill these ten evils present inside us.
Once again wishing you all Happy VIJAYDASHMI.
JAI SIYA RAM.
